leave, leaving, left.....

cuz i'm leaving, on an express bus......

DAY 1
time: 3.45pm
venue: penang bridge

all abroad, and off we go! heading down to Kuala Lumpur....

thus the beginning of our though not so adventurous, but promising to be a very memorable trip.... or pang sai (shitting) trip, shud i say??

we have nothing much to do for the almost 4 hours ride, other than some grumpy passengers who caused us to delayed our journey, and worse of all, did not even bother to apologize that they were late.....

the journey was.... o-k-a-y.... a-lah.... what to expect? ps3 to play on the bus?.... i'll be very happy even if i get to watch tv!!

a little bit of fooling here and there, talking a bit of non-sense this and that, listening to all sorts of songs....

and ahhhh... what a better way to waste our time other than snoozing off in the bus for guan?

too bad he doesn't drool.... sigh..

as for me, what a better way to kill time other than snapping ugly pics of guan sleeping??
time: 8.45pm
venue: Royale Bintang Hotel, Kuala Lumpur....

we saw a $98 budget hotel at the spot we got down the bus.... and even though ours costs $180++ per night, we still go for it, as we have a felling of what the $98 hotel looks like....

this is hoStel... not hotel... x.x

we finally reached our hotel after approximately 15-20 mins walk from where our bus driver dumped us....

and this is what we paid $180 per night for....

our hotel, from the outside...

our hotel, from the inside...

pretty much like what an average hotel looks like... nothing much nothing less....

and compared with the $98 hotel? i am damn sure that i can shit more comfortably here... ehehhehe.....

we're just excited la, ok? so mah take crazy pics lo...

DAY 2
time: 5.30am
venue: hotel room

as there were many of us, i decided to wake up at 5.30 am so to not have to fight for the bathroom, as i admit, it took me ages to get out from the bathroom once i get in.... so i sacrificed my precious sleeping time, and woke up at freaking 5.30am.....

the last time i ever woke up this early was when i have to wait for my morning school bus to get me to shool....... T___T

after taking turns to shower, and persuading everyone to hurry up, we left the hotel for the US EMBASSY....

we reached there at around 7.38am.... think that it's very early?

think again....

the queue was as long as the Great Wall..... and yes, it's not even 8 am yet....

and it's so damn strict inside, probably because to eliminate of the chances of admitting any possible terrorists' inside, we have to go through numerous times of body scanning machines, and leave everything outside before we were allowed to go into the interview room...

so, sorry ah.. no pics of what's it's like in the interview room.....

and.....

how's the interview?

have u been to a bank before? stand in front of the banker, doing your transaction stuffs??

well, our interview room and process is pretty much like this.....

just that instead of handling financial stuffs, we were asked questions and we have to use proper english as we answer..... and there are many counters there, and the interview goes on at the same time... imagine that... if facing the stern looking interviewer asking all sorts of question is not scary enough, we have to endure all sorts of sounds and answers of other people while thinking what to reply the interviewer....

and its kinda nerve-wrecking, not because of the interviewing process, but with the waiting time.....and the noises all around the room.... T___T

ish....

but anyway..... we were done by 10am.... and we were just glad that everything is over, and no one get rejected VISA, which is the most important.... yeah!! =)

mandarin oriental at the side of KLCC....

and as we can see the twin towers from the embassy... we decided to embarked on a walking trip from the embassy, to the famous KLCC tower.....

picture perfect snap shot of the twin tower...

the twin towers, seriously looked very near from where we were.... seriously... we even thought that it will only take us 10 mins ......

the weather was so damn hot... blughhh....

30-45 mins has passed, and KLCC was yet to be reached.....

our conclusion? do not be deceived by the sight of the twin towers....

the entrance of KLCC..... it's not the shops that attracted us... it was the AIR CONDITIONING!!! OOOOO

despite the heat and sweat, we were just ecstasy when we reached the main door....

basically, it was still very early, so there are not many shops were open yet......

herm, penang tak ada lovely lace ka?

but that doesn't stop miss corrinne from having to found a spot to shop....

we were TIRED, EXHAUSTED and SLEEPY.... ( i slept very very late the previous night, and woke up very very early the next.... T__T)

so we decided to go back to our hotel, and get some rests....

but me, guan, corrinne and ying were restless....

BURBERRY..... i can get one in lorong kulit....

as guan couldn't find the Burberrey wallet he wanted, we decided to hunt STARHILL gallery, which was pretty near our hotel....

and yes, we walked there....

STARHILL amazed me..... i was stunned by what i see inside.....

one word : SPECTACULAR.....

most branded stuffs there probably costs more than my tuition fees.. but that's not what that makes me go gah-gah....

it were the design and layout......

u can't find this in penang, and i couldn't even dreamnt of this beauty in my dream....

STARHILL'S contemporary design and architecture just make me feel like i've been to heaven......

and when we reached the top floor, we were invited to tour in its exclusive japanese buffet restaurant....

again, i was stunned.... and though i just ate, my stomach just couldn't stop growling after seeing all those delicacies....

it's a buffet, and it;s all japanese food..... for a all you can eat deal at $68, it's actually a must grab deal that we just can't afford to miss.....

but missed it we did.... as there were some sort of conflict in our group, we decided not to go for it, but instead, we vowed that we will be back one day... and when that moment comes, we WILL eat and celebrate in that restaurant for whatever reason, at whatever price.......

*sorry corrinne and guan for letting them down, but hey, we came as a group, and we stick as a group... and we will be back for the buffet, i promise? =)*

after walking almost 3 malls and standing cluelessly... we then decide to eat nando's instead....

ya ya, many will say: 'penang oso got mah.. shud have grabbed the japanese buffet deal....'

but trust me, the fast food here, is different....

it is more TASTY!! =)

seriously, back in penang, even if u ordered extra hot peri-peri, the hot-ness is just so-so... here in KL, just hot peri-peri is enough to set our mouths on fire....

corrinne, who is still very excited bout the japanese buffet.....

and it just tastes..... GOOOOOD......

or maybe we were just hungry... lol

after the meal, we stick around to wait the rain stops, and head back to our hotel, and meet up with the other guys for our night plans.....

from french food, to mexican food.... we end up coming to PETALING STREET.....

chee cheong kai

it's infamous for pirated stuffs..... and since guan couldn't find his burberry wallet in STARHILL, i suggested him to get one here, though it may be BLUEBERRY instead of BURBERRY.....
hahahahhaha....

it's a night market with all sorts of stuffs... nothing really attracted me... but this....

a funky t-shirt with cute images and only cost $9.90!!!!! super cheap!!!! =)

time:10pm
venue: royale bintang, room 1617

since it was our last night there, and we don't have to worry about having to talk to mat sallehs the next day, we then planned a small party in our hotel room....

"do not defy the sushi master"

we gathered around, and get some foods.....

and not to miss some alcohol....

and fooling around....

those, were just random pics.... the must see pic, is this.....

what a better entertainment than good old gambling? ekekekekekeke

time 3.30am

that is the time, we doze off.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

DAY 3
time: 10.30a.m
venue: room 1617, royale bintang hotel...

when alcohol was involved... this is what will happen....

*parental advisory needed*

time: 2.00p.m
venue: US embassy

finally...... i got my spanking new, fresh visa.... =)

well, the fugly pic, wasn't that FUGLY after all... in fact, it was nice.. ehehhehee

and since we still have time to kill before heading back to penang, we drop by Times Square for some window shoppings....

the roller coaster ride that ppl say some one died?.... *gulp*

time: 4.10pm
venue: Puduraya bus station....

we walked, again, all the way from out hotel, back to where our previous bus driver dumped us....

time: 4.50p.m

we are leaving again... this time, leaving KL behind, and head back to where we came from....

after days of walking, talking, seeing, eating, sleeping, watching, gambling, interviewing, laughing, angrying, NON STOP pang-sai-ing.... and all sorts of activities that comes thru ur mind....

we have no more energy left, we just sleep right after the bus departed....

the GGGGGRRRRRR sound from the ancient bus engine does not prevent us from sleeping soundly..... and though the fact that the whole ride home is not a smooth one....

time: 10.30p.m
venue: home sweet home, penang....

we touched our beloved penang soil, and welcome penang food with a BIG BIG heart!!!

not that KL food sucks, just that penang food tastes better....

it was one hell of a trip... a lot of stuffs happened during the 3 days journey....

good, bad, sweet, sour.....

it's been tiring, but definitely fun and enjoying....

will i want to join this kinda trip again in the future......

where we have to walk to almost everywhere?

where there'll be someone wanting to pang sai all the time?

where we have to think twice before spending as it was a budget tour?

where sometimes others just got on our nerves by the some silly actions?

where i got to hang our and do crazy stuffs with a bunch of crazy friends?

where we stay up till late at night and not wanting to sleep?

where we'll make fun of each other and snap hilarious pics in which we'll show our grandchildren later on?

the answer is....

HELL YEAH!!!

XOXO

guys, jom pi backpacking during summer??

wheeeee..........

oooh no~ i didnt relise that i was peeped when i was sleeping on the bus!! it's U-GLY~... anyway, it's definitely a fun trip with non-stop pangsai-ng, non-stop crapping, non-stop fooling, non-stop walking, non-stop sweating and non-stop laughing!!! although it's buggeted trip, i enjoyed it so much (maybe it's becuz that i could own the whole bed!! haha).. Travelling with friends might sometimes not as easy as travelling with parents as we cud not afford to eat the best, stay the best and buy the best things, but one thing for sure, travelling with friends cud give wonderful and memorable experience especially when we;re goin to fly to our own ways in 2 months time... We explored KL ourselves and tried to resolve matters ourselves, it's great to show that WE'RE GROWN UP, FREN!! u guys rock~ hope that the next destination of our trip will be CHI-CA-GO!!!!
