(seems that i was wrong about a lot of stuffs lately...)
i realized i was wrong, until i attended this...
since i need to attend musical concerts for my music 105 as my assignment anyway, so i grabbed this chance and attended this JAZZ concert that had been promoting in my college....
i knew that jazz is definitely fun-er than the traditional philharmonic orchestra, but never i would thought that it was THIS.....
it was not the typical formal concerts, THIS, is more casual, i would say....
the musician interacted with the audiences, though not directly, but through the music they play, as the tones and rhythms from the instruments alone said more than words.....
soothing, calming, sad, happy, groovy, sentimental, passionate....
you name it, they have it....
i realized that this Jeep Latino Jazz Band is not just another performing group you'll see in ktv lounges, but this JLJB actually performed in the Penang Jazz Festival, which i wanted to attend last year, but can't due to working.....
so this was a bonus... seriously, as i only paid RM 10 for the ticket... but! if i were to attend the Penang Jazz Festival, that would cost me RM 65.....(if i'm not WRONG)
and when i thought the auditorium in USM will be kinda pa-ria standard, i was wrong (again)...
it's not futuristic nor filled with any super QIO gadgets, but it is cozy and comfortable enough to promise you a nice show ahead...
the sound system? can be improved lah, cuz there was a singer who suddenly gone mute while performing.... and i thought i was deaf pula~
it start off a little late (a-lah, malaysian timing.. x.x) but it was a bang! (for me)....
i was attracted and mesmerized from the moment they start playing their instruments...
call me sam pat, call me sua ba, call me whatever shit you want.....
i was seriously, totally, wat-ever-ly amazed by the performance.....
too bad i have only two hands, cuz this performance, indeed worth more than just 2 thumbs up.....
and talent can really change one's appearance...
the lead of the band, though look kinda old with no six-pax and totally not brad pitt look alike AT ALL... but wait....
wait till u see him plays the piano, and the mini saxophone....
u can then dump brad pitt into the dust bin...
there were guest singers along the show, singing famous oldies such as can't take my eyes off you, saving all my love and a french song which i had no idea at all....
there is this lady, who sings so well, that until now i'm still hearing the echoes of her voice in my head....
the shadowy image of the lay who's voice still lingers in my head... saving all my love, for youuu
as i said, i was wrong about many things, including this one....
i wasn't that enthusiastic to attend this concert at first, but now, i'm EAGER to attend another one......the show started off with a bang, certainly ended with a bang as well...
the show, is satisfaction guaranteed.... and i was wrong about it at first....
i wanna take this opportunity to send a big APOLOGIZE to lynn, SOWRRIEE for din't ask u along, (i only thought of you when i was in the show....) SOWWRRIEEE!! but when next time got performance like this, i'll belanja!! =)
there's a lot of things going in my life now, this time, this moment..... and it all happened in ONE!!!.... one shot... and seriously, i don't think i can handle all these shits at once, and i may break down anytime soon....
as this is a blog from my mind, i just wanna say sorry for whatever shit i had caused, or whoever i had hurt or caused any misunderstandings.....
i, seriously do not need you to sympathy, but maybe, a little empathy will do....
again, i'm sorry for watever fucking reason.....
kids, do not learn my vulgarity here, k? i'm just fucked up lately, and i AM usually a very holy person.... =)
