there's hope! there's hope!

i am going to cheat the system this time.

like i did everytime.

there's hope for my ipod! yay!!

on the other hand, nano chromatic looks nice though....

but before that, let me get over my exam misery, which ends this sunday.

booo....

i just hope my bad luck streak ends soon, cuz after...
  1. my ipod died
  2. i almost lost my phone
  3. i forgot to screw the bottle cap tightly before i throw it on my bed, which is now wet
  4. i think i broke the hairdryer while trying to blow dry my bed
  5. i am sleep deprived
seriously?

this might be the worst week

include fatigue, pressure and homeworks.

and owh, include may.be.dead ipod and almost losing a phone experience.

the secret is not working for me here.

i am just tired. and so i shall have a very good rest.

finally, a good old sleep ever since classes start, and after some breakdown.

i.need.to.rest.

goodnight.

catching up

it's always nice to catch up with buddies and have a nice skype with them....

...and especially if you are stressed out and need to relax, this kind of moment will lighten up your mood straight away. =)

call me fat, call me round.. i don;t care.

cuz tat, i'm calling u HELMET HEAD! lol

-lemme know if this is offensive for u, then i shall apologize and remove this post-

18 hours to go....

... till the career fair season starts.

i freaked out the moment i found out the dates of the career fairs. and goddamnit looking back the past 4 months, i did not do a shit about it.

to make things worse, i am not having a good week. in fact, my week is far from a good week.

i shall declare tomorrow as my lucky day, peeps.

and wish me luck for a good impression during the career fair tomorrow.

thank you.

nanana na-na na na na na nana.....

nothing can go wrong with pink!

So so what?
I'm still a rock star
I got my rock moves
And i don't need you
And guess what
I'm having more fun
And now that we're done
I'm gonna show you tonight
I'm alright, I'm just fine
And you're a tool
So so what?
I am a rock star
I got my rock moves
And i don't want you tonight

if the video is not working then do check this OUT.

i am still waiting for my ipod to be completely dry before i dare to do anything bout it. i am praying, praying hard. any remedy for my ipod, anyone?

Friday, September 5, 2008

f*ck sial....(or would u rather i use title such as "my ipod went for a dive"... but then it wouldn't be fun, eh?)

first week of school ends.

it's been pretty hectic, with work, books to study, people to handle, resume and career fairs.... you get the point.

so i decided to indulge myself in a spa bath after a looooong friday. there i am, immersed in spa crystal dissolved water, listening to my ipod and singing out loud. and then i decided to put soap on my body. moving my left hand up, the next thing i know.......

MY IPOD IS IN THE FUCKING WATER!

the end.

*
*
*

the interface is still hanging there. i dare not do anything, as a matter of fact, there's nothing i could do. all i can do now is to wait, and pray.

i looked up several guidance on the web, and as stupid as it sounds, i am trying all of them in order save my ipod.

as for the next few days, i am counting on my phone as my music player.

if, i said IF, my ipod decided to give up on me.... owh well, i may, i said i MAY consider getting a new one. and no, i am not rich. i am just a poor college student who can't survive without an ipod.

the aftermath? fat, ugly pictures.

here goes...

oh my, oh my, i wonder why,
everytime i stare up at the bloody sky;
i had this feeling - cold and dry,
class is starting, i want to cry.

summer, summer, i love you,
beloved fall, i love you too;
i can't explain, it's hard to tell,
but i figured that this winter will be hell.

so i'm taking i-core this semester,
'what?', you'll ask, i have no answer;
i've heard rumors, i've heard horrors,
and for the textbooks i need 700 dollars.

"i will survive", i kept telling me,
i'm making assumptions on future i can't see;
in my head i think figure and ledger is no fun,
on the other hand entrepreneurship sounds like a good one.

sigh, sigh, almighty sigh,
how i wish i could kiss this goodbye;
bye to classes, bye to books,
most of all, bye from all those nasty looks.

this the time i ave to fight for 'it',
'it' is so important, i couldn't sleep;
'what? what?' u ask again and again,
you want to know so badly, it caused so much pain.

'it' refers to bloody internships,
not some honey-bunny boy/girl relationships;
surrounded with books and computers, i'll be a geek,
that's why a super hot guy i dare not seek.

all my friends are back again,
it felt just like yesterday they took the plane;
omigah, omigahhh, summer is gone,
looking back the past 4 months, what have i done??

i read this book, 'the scecret' is the name,
it teaches ur mind to play the real-life game;
i should have read this earlier, what a shame,
cuz i could have been more alert when the opportunities came.

nasi lemak, roti canai is all my friends say,
when we sit and talk during the day;
in my face they say "malaysian food i miss you",
barely a year overseas, they don't have a real clue.

it's been one full year since i had penang food,
the thought itself it feels so good;
bah kut teh, hokkien mee, and char koey toew,
long time no eat, si pek ho liao!

wait, losing weight is what i want,
hot abs, sexy boobs - owh give me some;
but guess what? i didn't get to go to the gym,
so, oh boy, there goes my mission to be slim.

england, germany, austria and hungary,
i went traveling, i was so happy;
trapped in london is part of my experience,
after the trip i think i gained much more resilience.

other than that, i work, work and work
doing the same thing, i feel like a dork;
it was boring, it was sick,
but how could i complaint? it paid for my trip.

i had a month after i came back,
worked for a week, and then i slacked;
i became a host, i became a guide,
help the newbies gain new sights.

last week i had a supervisor training,
it's all about the lectures, it's so boring;
but then i have interesting colleagues,
doing nonsense and cracking up jokes, that's the peak.

a new neighbor moved in just yesterday,
guess who? guess who? it's my neighbor back at shea! (pronounce as shaaayyy; it was the dorm i used to stay in)
i was shocked when she said her room is 203,
we are next to each other again in tulip tree! (my apartment).

for the last few days, i'm just gonna chill,
lot's to do, but not much time to kill;
how i wish this moment will be forever,
and let my mind fly to its own endeavor.

after reading this a couple of times,
i realize, maybe, mayyyyybbbeeee i do have talent hidden inside;
who knows this shit will keep the readers coming,
before u knew it, i'll be the next J.K Rowling. (LOL)

owh no, owh no, i am talking smack,
i better stop before someone gets a heart attack;
i have to tidy, i have to pack,
a long way awaits me, and there's no turning back.

i can't believe this is happening. 4 months of summer holiday, and what have i done? not to say i didn;t have a good time, just felt that i could have accomplished more. mistakes to be learned, new goals to be set.

the entire cycle is starting all over again, and although i am dreading it to happen, to an extend, i think i am ready, though not physically, mentally, i hope.

it's been a fruitful and extremely fast-paced 07/08 year, and i am definitely making 08/09 a better one.

cheer for me ya'll! and good luck to u guys too!

sexy

Unfortunately for Malaysia, the show will go on.

Despite attempts by many in Malaysia to shut down Avril Lavigne's "inappropriate" concert, it looks like the people will still suffer.

As for April, she has gotten a bigger head lately. And it's not like we even want to look at her face.

She says of the whole ordeal, "Well, I've actually been approved by the government to play a show. I've already sold 10,000 tickets there, so I will be going to put on a concert for the fans."

Yea, bitch can't lose those supposed 10,000 tickets sold. That's more ticket sales than she'd ever sell here!

Lavigne adds, "They tend to, you know, sometimes not want Western artists in their country. I respect that, but at the same time, you know, there's people that listen to music there and want to see their idols and stuff, so it's all good: been approved by the government and [I'm] going to go put on a show and have fun."

Since when is Lavigne an IDOL in Malaysia?

Several people in Malaysia, including its Islamic opposition party, have been trying to cancel or postpone the indecent show which is set to take place just two days before the celebration of their country's independence day.

If she does perform, April better keep it clean or she's likely to get fined by the government.

She should just stay in Malaysia while she's there!

MUAHAHAHAHA, yay!!! =)

waitttt, it's not that i get to see her concert there anywayssss.. =(

stilll......

*singing* I'M BRINGING SEXY BACKKK...

Monday, August 18, 2008

I said, WHHHHAAAATTTT??????

"Malaysia's Islamists want Lavigne concert canceled "

MORE? click here

I said: "WHHHHHHAATTTTTTTTTT????"

"Malaysia's Islamic opposition party has urged the government to cancel a concert by Avril Lavigne, saying the Canadian singer's on-stage moves are "too sexy," an official said Monday."

I said: "WHHHHHAATTTT, WHHHHHHHAATTTTTTTT???"

"It is considered too sexy for us. … It's not good for viewers in Malaysia," said Kamarulzaman Mohamed, a party official. "We don't want our people, our teenagers, influenced by their performance. We want clean artists, artists that are good role models."

I said: "wait a minute....... WWWWHHHHHHHAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRDDDDDDD??? fucktardddd"

szemay's class of sexiness 101:

Malaysia is a conservative country. You bet. But horny guys, rest assured, you could still find good porno at almost every pasar malam that you go to.

And so, in today's szemay's class of sexiness 101, you will learn that although Malaysia is a absurdly conservative country, we (or at least muah), still have a good sense to differentiate sexy, and not sexy:

LEVEL 1 - EXTREME CASE

-due to certain circumstances, I should not post any 100% nudity pictures on my blog-
but if u are curious, go to toilet, strip naked, and picture urself walking in public areas.... that is what I called an extreme case.

LEVEL 2 - YES IT IS AN EXCUSE TO BAN THE SHOW CASE

now, WHOA, if we were to allow shows like the one above, it'll just breed more perverts in our country. and trust me, we already have enough perverts to get a gold in the olympics (if, there is a pervertness event in the olympics)

LEVEL 3 - THIS IS WHAT I CALL ART CASE

some call it libido stimulator, I call it inspiration to get thin, some call it art.

LEVEL 4 - YOU MUST BE BLIND TO CALL ME SEXY CASE

'you know what's sexy, my middle finger IN YOUR FACE'

SEEEEriously, you call this sexy? puuuuhh-leaaasseeee......

well, actually, why am i so mad, it;s not that i am going to fly all the way back home to watch her perform anyways.

and at the same time, I am counting down the days where the Malaysian Islamists finally requires all animals in public to be covered up because they are such a bad influence on teenagers.

Oh yes, lemme see, xxx days and countingggggg...

Sunday, August 17, 2008

yay we did it again!

only this time, muah wasn't there.

great. i totally miss out the fun.
and the gossip.
and the catching up.
and the laughter.
and the food.
and the people.
and the cam whoring sessions.
and the recaps of our high school life.
and the poking fun of each other.

but what i miss the most, is everything that makes us, us.

二十二人一颗心,F2学长一定行!

yeah, it's a lil cheezy, but hey, that's what makes us, us, remember?

Anyone else but you.

This song was stuck in my head since it was played for like gazillion times during my roadtrip with my family in England.

Anyone Else But You - Michael Cera And Ellen Page

I had totally forgotten about this song, until I watched Juno today.

Awesome. :D

OHMIGAHHHHHH....

I just finished a FULL bar of chocolate while chatting with mom/facebook/photos-editing.

How sinful is that?

of all the things other people ask

No. Instead of the traditional "How are you?", and to show concern to the obvious extra fat around my waist, people would still prefer to ask me unrelated questions, herm, let's sayyy, such as......

so *long pause* DO YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND?

and my answer will always be:-

"No."
"Nope"
"Never."
"No string attach. "
"I'm happily single. "
"I have yet to love someone more than I love myself. "
"Waiiiittt, aren't we in the middle of discussion regarding world hunger and poverty???"

Yes. I was single. And I am still single. So?

to be continued...

-oh, there's the Malaysian contingent in the Olympic march.-

whatt?... pak cik pun masuk olimpik?

Top 8 things you gotta know about SzeMay's past 3 weeks.

1. I met my parents. And Sister.

It's been almost a year since i saw them. Oh well, minus the daily web meetings with my mom, and occasional msn messages with my sis. I was anxious to meet them as i step out from the arrival's terminal, nervous when i see no sign of them, and relieved to finally see the oh so familiar shadows of theirs.

How time flies. It's a joy to finally see them in person, but it hurts to see how aged my parents have been. And owh, my love-hate relationship with reunions. (i hate farewells)

*
*
*

2. Going on vacation.

No serving coffees, no grilling paninis, no dealing with annoying customers. Best of all, no feeling that I am wasting my fucking time. I AM ON A HOLIDAY. =) Sightseeing is one thing, not having to worry whether i will be late for work the next day is another. Oh my, when was the last time i went for a vacation?

*
*
*

3. Backpacking.

Yeah, I know, didn't I just mentioned that I was on a vacation? Backpacking is a whole new level, babe. Limited budget, recycled clothings, not speaking+understanding the local language, experiencing the real deal from the street, and with just a lonely planet guide on our hands... we are not having any ordinary holiday folks, we are having time of our (at least mine) life by EXPLORING, ya'll! xD

what better way to seek adventure and meet new people, eh? And owh, with all those distance covered by our dear legs, we are so geared up... Walk-athons? Bring it on!

*
*
*

4. Cheating the system, and NOT getting caught.

As I said, we have LOW BUDGET. So any chance of saving money, count us in. Apparently they never check the tickets when u take the local transportation in Vienna. Enough Said. *evil grin*

*
*
*

5. Cheating the system, AND getting caught.

Thinking that the system in Budapest will the same, opps, we did it again. Only that this time, we were busted. Again, enough said. *guilty look*

*
*
*

6. Trapped in deep shit.

This is interesting. There is no "we" in this deep shit, only me. (owh, in case u are confused, the "we" refers to me and my sister)

I have always been reluctant for my trip to end and return to the boring old routine of mine. AND NOW I REGRET SAYING (or even thinking about) IT. cuz i think it might have jinxed what could happen to me next.

Apparently you need a visa even though you are just, (i repeat, JUST) transiting in Canada. And yes, you guessed right, I have none. Having no other options, I was given an extra day for a solo adventure in central London, (no lonely planet guide this time, only the superbly simplified underground system ma)p and get that damn visa before being able to fly home. See? wish granted... after that, I dare not say i am reluctant to go home anymore.

*
*
*

7. Spending the night at the airport.

It's just another type of camping, i said to myself. Just that this time, No Shower, No brushing teeth, No sleeping well, No complete privacy in the toilet (meaning no shitting with ease).

I searched for several potential "bed" in the airport, and i settled with 3 seats which arms rests are broken. My backpack is my pillow, my jacket with my arms wrapped around me is my blanket, and owh, a storybook I bought is my bolster. The announcement made every 15 minutes is my snoozing alarm. What else could i wish for?

*
*
*

8. Spent more than 36 hours in airports, and slept less than 10 hours in 3 days, seriously.

The sleepover and the delayed flights. Great. Now i am airport-phobic/fly-o-phobic. if that is not enough, add in fatigue and exhaustion. You wouldn't believe how happy i was when i turned the knob of my door, and stepped into my house for the first time. Owh, my dear lovely bed, how i never noticed you before, and I am so sorry for all those criticism i complaint about u. sorrriiee.

Note to sis: (on why i didn't call before i fly)-
Imagine feeling anxious when you are on the waiting list, not knowing for sure if you are able to board the flight. Picture two huge luggages with you and not being able to left it unattended cuz it will be confiscated by authorities. How about 10 minutes left for you to report to the gate and you haven't even pass the security, what do you do? you RUN.
(heheh, hope the excuses are well enough, i could certainly come up with more if you want)

Note to everyone

I am a Kelley School of Business Junior, majoring in both accounting and finance.

I decided to pick up that major 2 weeks before the deadline of my university application.

How infatuated I am with my major? I have no idea.

In fact, the reason I pick up Business is because it (so called) is the easiest subject, and has the widest prospect of all.

One semester in the Business school, I have a lot of doubts.

Doubts of whether I had chosen the right career path.

But when my sis introduced 'Dragon's Den' to me, I began to see Business in a much, much more complicated point of view.

After watching the show, I realized Business is not just about figures.

It is about creativity,

It is about timing,

It is about presentation,

It is about negotiation,

It is about performance,

It is about, EVERYTHING.

Getting a business degree is easy. It is just a matter of making it to the top.

Still, I am wondering whether had chosen the right track...

sze may is a special name

and i took pride of my name.

back in malaysia, i insist that people call me 'szemay' rather than just mayyy.

but stepping my feet onto angmoh-land, i realized it's just a pain in the ass trying to introduce myself as 'szemay'

-say whhaaat?-

and so i go by 'may', just 'may' nowadays

yet, i still fill out my name in forms or any other stuffs that require my name as 'szemay', and that sorta creates a buzz among the curious angmohs

-so, i see ur name in ur time card as 'szemay', how do u pronounce it?- -what's 'sze' in ur name? is it ur middle name? what does it mean?-

needless to say, i create a pile of bullshits to get out from those unnecessary conversations

-owh, yes, it is my middle name-
-simple, it is pronounced as 'sze'-
-urm, it is part of my name, but i would rather be called as just 'may'-

as i said, i am proud of my name, as it is very special.

but a simple search through the google engine, i realized it is not as special as i thought it would be.

see? even google knows i misspelled my own name, there's a space in between u moron!

my long lost twin-name sister

and it seems that i am married....

and someone celebrated my birthday without me knowing it's my own bday... weeirrddd

and and and, it seems like i have more facebook accounts that i had ever realized.

there may be gazillions 'szemay's out there, but rest assured, there will only be one kind of 'szemay' here,

what kind, you ask?

I AM ONE OF A KIND YA'LL!!!

p/s: owh, i made roti canai (or i would rather call it fried dough), and i ate all of them before i could grab my cameraaaa....
