candle in the wind

10 years back, Elton John wrote this song after a freak accident involving our beloved Princess Diana....

fast foward today, Sir Elton John is already 60 years old, yet he is still rocking hard and giving out awesome performances.....

i cannot understand why my mother loves to listen to oldies that much, and we often gurrl fight in the car for our choice of radio station.... lol.... i love fly, she loves light and easy....

until i watched Elton's performance, and listen to his songs... i can understand why...

oldies, are much more meaningful than songs nowadays....

today, it's about sex, anger, power, money and status...

but back then, it's purely about emotions, the society and what's happening around us.....strictly no Biiiatttcchhyy words....

now, i'm starting to like oldies.... =)

XOXO

part for the love for oldies, you'll know why you wanna listen to songs from your 'generation', that's simply where you belong. just like..the feeling of singing all those stupid boy band songs when you have all the nice songs now. :D

i prefer oldies, where the songs etc relies on the skill and talent, rather than now where technology makes songs...
Was just watching a movie, Queen, 5 mins ago on Diana..
