and so i thought i was miserable enough to have a pile of bak zhangs on my table....

now, to the more serious and exciting part of this entry...

*warning: parental advisory required for immature readers*

i had been fascinated with tattoo artistries, ever since i was young and introduced to the world of tattoo....

i'm a self proclaimed artsy-dartsy person, though me myself, suck a lot at drawing.... but still, i had been amazed on how our skin canvas can produce magnificent masterpieces....


and occasionally, when i'm superbly mou liu, i'll grab my pilot pen and start drawing silly stuffs, showing them off as permanent tattoos, until the watermark exposed my lame disguises...

but though i wanted to tattoo all along, i never took it seriously, until my sis kinda paved a pathway for her younger siblings.....


and unexpectedly, it has become some sort of a family tradition....

my bro and sis got one when they graduated last time... and now it's my turn.....

a few days before, i was extremely excited over where and what to get, and i even searched the web to find the "ones"....


and always again, from my initial plan, i'll always get objections and recommendations/persuasions from my sis to change it.....


so from the back of my neck, to above my bottom, i end up choosing my right hip......


and from snake designs, to the eye of Horus, i end up with -surprise later on-.....

(this is ridiculous, as my sis objected my decision to get animal tattoos, cuz she believed that the animal's spirit will come and haunt me...... hhheeerrrrmmmm *am qio*...O.K.A.Y....... )

as i said, this is some kind of family tradition, so she took me to the place where my 'seniors' went....

the master himself was busy, so he asked a younger professional tattooist to do it for me...

even the younger professional was busy with his own list of customers... just show how good the tattoo shop is...

and here, is the anticipated tattoo-ing procedure that everyone has been waiting for....

the trace that will then be a permanent thing on my skin...

the tattooing process with my tattoo artist, FUN.... (weird name eh)?

FUN, is no fun at all.. he din't chat with me to get my mind off the pain... a very very detailed and serious person... and he is very very hippie, very cool, seldom talks... even when he talks he talks in a deep, 'eeerrrr' kinda tone... which to me, HAS KICK ASS ATTITUDE!!!



before he poked the needle on me, i kept on hearing the sound of the tattoo needle; it sounds very much like as if i'm paying a visit to the dentist instead of a tattoo shop...



there's another guy beside me being tattooed on his arm by the grand master... he din't make a sound, and his tattoo is 100 times bigger than mine..... O.0

which means, ah moi had to kept quiet too, in order not to make myself a fool over an itsy-bitsy small tattoo....

the design that you may be wondering all awhile...

how painful is the pain??? many of you may ask...

to be very honest, to me, it felt just as if being bitten by a whole swamp of red ants, just that this is less gelifying and disgusting .... it hurts, of cuz, but not to the extend that i want to scream or even cry.... i din't even mutter a word during the process, and i din't ask that guy to stop/pause at all......

so conclusion? the pain is bearable laa......

(to me, it's less painful than during my sis plucked my eyebrows.... T___T)


the design to me is purely love at first sight, cuz remember me saying i want a snake design?



ta-dah!!!.... it's a S + looks like snake design..... which, i'm extremely satisfied with what i had chosen...

and my sis even gave me a brilliant idea.....

since it looked like a S, i can tattoo my name, SZE MAY, the whole stretch on my belly XX years later....

BUT!!! one thing that i regret is.....

the position of the tattoo....

I HAD IT A LITTLE TOO LOW!!!!!

i was wearing a low waist pants that day, and the original spot the tattooist placed it was 1.5 cm higher... and STUPID ME, i wanted it to be lower somemore.... (cuz i thought it's sexier...)

it's still very sexy at the current position lah, especially when i'm naked... (hahahaha) BECAUSE.... it's kinda near my cibai..... i can even cover it with my underwear....

a part of me is smacking myself real hard....

"WHAT'S THE POINT OF GETTING A TATTOO IF OTHERS CAN'T SEE IT??"

but hey, what's done is already done....

and covering it up may not be a bad thing after all, especially in this conservative society i'm currently living in.....

and never mind, cuz i'm already thinking about the design i'm getting next!!! =)

they say tattooing is addictive, and it sure is!!!

and when i'm in the states i wanna go to MIAMI, and get inked by these guys!!!
