hello, new laptop... =)

and so, i got my new laptop... freaking cool eh? and because of me not having a camera, what i can do is to grab a pic from the web and post it here...

freaking cool eh? to view the full specs, click this.

There are more cheaper options available, but for some freaking reason, i bought this one...

many told me i got myself a good deal, in which me myself believe that too... =)

And so, i got my laptop, i got my phone...

phone + laptop = cannot spend more money

and here's a lil update of what's going on with my life, apart of getting a new laptop and phone...

  • i'm still pretty much upset with the fact that i need to spend more time than i intended here
though it is a fact that i can't change and me with my sis and family kept telling myself that everything is going to be ok is not helping much. I still wake up with the sense of guilt (for having to spend more money) and the regretfulness that i had made this fucking decision. I am still trying to get over it, maybe i just need time... MORE time...

  • yea, i have a phone, but i have yet to get a phone card and call home
so, apart of the convenience for my friends here to call me around, the phone doesn't really function anything of a home communication device. The last phone card i got was somehow a scam, cuz it said that i can get unlimited minutes, just that i need to pay a fee of 0.29usd per call and i can talk for ages. It is a scam, cuz the second time i call back, it only lasted me for 7 fucking short minutes. And since i got my laptop already, i may just use skype to call back home, which is 0.021usd per minute. But of course, if my mom is able to use skype, or even msn, i would be more than happy, as we can talk for free. So far my mom manages to read and reply my mails, but i have faith that she can conquer the computer, and use the web cam, where we can see each other and talk at the same time! =)

  • my roommate officially moved in yesterday
OMG, the stuffs she brought was 10 times, literally more than what i had brought all the way from Malaysia. TV, PS2, tons of clothes, table lamp... you name it, she probably brought it here. And we even bought a microwave and a fridge, which i was quite reluctant to get at first, but on second thought, i may be able to use it when i ever move into an apartment later. I never had to sleep alone anymore, and with her around, which kinda means socializing.... =) [oh my, i'm such a parasite, i admit~! i am very dependent actually...] x(

  • we had our first ever Malaysian gathering!
though the number of Malaysians here are still very limited, but it's quite more than what i had initially expected. There are actually families here, with kids, which is pretty amazing. =) So we met up, had Malaysian food for the first time, and we bond (well, sorta). The meeting was fun and awesome, and makes me really feel like home and get rid of my homesickness. We are having a traditional attire photo shoot next week, which keeps me thinking of whether did i brought my traditional formal suit.. herm....and owh, now i realized how patriotic i am, or maybe i just miss my family so much.....-sobs-

  • i attended a frat party, FRAT PARTY! but i was wearing flip-flops, messy clothes and looking like a 30 year old aunty :(
it was totally unplanned, at all. My roommate just said she's meeting up her friend, and then one thing just eventually lead to another. it was an experience, definitely. Will i want to go again? maybe. Just maybe. I'm still stick to my ultimate plan, which is to get out of here as soon as possible. And when Americans are partying, they seriously party. With a lot of alcohol, loud music, sexy dances involved, i don't know how much i can handle it. Added with the probability of cops showing up anytime, that's just too much to bear. So this time was really a bonus, it is an experience i'll never ever forget. =)

This shit happens to me all the time, it was like i run out of idea out of sudden...

so yea, till i got the juices flowing again, i'm off for now... =)

i'll keep updating, i promise~! =)

wow...2GB of RAM and such good graphics...how you paid for it? In Malaysia I think this will be around 5k or slightly more - which is pretty expensive to spend on. haha.. But it came with AMD, no options to go for Intel?

andy:
i got it for like 954usd, which is around RM3500, well, i don't mind with either amd or intel, cuz i'm not much of a gamer, i just want it for normal use...

ruby:
well, i plan to graduate in 4 sems, but apparently i need to spend more, cuz for some fucking reasons the subs i need to take are full... :(
